چکیده

Background: Cardiovascular alterations include atherosclerosis, calcification, heart failure, diastolic and systolic dysfunction, stroke are a primary cause of mortality in people with CKD ESRD. Individuals have been demonstrated to increased serum levels visfatin. A new study suggests that high visfatin individuals chronic kidney disease accurately predict cardiovascular abnormalities. Chronic renal calcification the carotid arteries vary individuals. The researchers set out look at correlation level abnormalities patients. In this case-control comparative study, conventional Echocardiogram duplex assessment were used evaluate differences between 40 patients stage III or IV receiving conservative treatment, ESRD regular hemodialysis, 20 subjects as control group. Results: Hemodialysis-dependent Carotid calcifications more common compared non-hemodialysis-dependent significantly correlated Visfatin healthy participants. dysfunction all likely occur those who had CIMT p-value (0.036) doppler, decreased EF % (0.032), LVMI (0.004) reversed E/A ratio (0.003) by Echocardiographic Doppler assessment. Patients an elevated morbidity atherosclerosis risk ischemic stroke.

The relationship between hemoglobin level with PTH level and dialysis adequacy in chronic hemodialysis patients

Background: The role of high levels of parathyroid hormone in the development of anemia either directly or by mediating mechanisms is unclear, and there is a controversy about the pathophysiological role of parathyroid hormone (PTH) in the development and intensification of anemia associated with renal disease. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between anemia and parathy...

Visfatin level in patients with colorectal adenoma

Background: Visfatin is an adipocytokine secreted by visceral adipose tissue. It has been shown that adipocytokines may contribute to the induction of carcinogens and progression of tumors. Previously, we found a significant increase in the visfatin serum level in colorectal cancer patients. Herein, we investigated if this cytokine increases in patients with colorectal adenoma as a precursor of...
